Health

Plan helps parents learning how to take care for their children. In addition, information is given about nutrition and the prevention of diseases. Plan also ensures that medical services are better suited to the needs of young people. For example by providing information about birth planning and preventing and testing for AIDS.

Water and hygiene

In ten districts, Plan is working on the construction of drinking water facilities and sanitation. This ensures that children run fewer risks on diseases.

Education

Plan ensures that more children can go to elementary school, especially girls and disabled children. Furthermore, toddlers and preschoolers are given a good basis for primary school, by setting up centers where they can play and learn.

Healthcare

Many health centers are struggling with a lack of medication. Due to poor medical care, children sometimes die from easily preventable diseases. Plan enables health centers to purchase medicines and helps families to seek medical assistance when needed.

Child protection

The Plan's projects against child marriages are working. Plan continues to work together with the government on legislation. In 300 communities, child protection committees stop child marriages.
