Nala

About us

We are three 14 year old girls from the Netherlands who decided to write a book for school. Crazy idea right? But it worked!

For one of our lessons, Global Perspectives, we had to make "something", about an global issue. That "something could be anything, but we, as crazy as we are, decided to write a book. Not just a childish book, but a book about very serious problems in 3rd world countries.

What's the book about?

The book is about a girl, named Nala (surprise!), who gets assaulted in Malawi. We guide you through her life of ups and downs, good and bad memories and friendships.

Of course, we won't tell you all of it. You have to read the book in order to find out.
Are you not sure if you want to the book yet? Try to read the prologue.

Why a book?

We choose the topic "disease and health", and the subtopic "pregnant women and young children's health issues". We wanted to raise awareness about the health conditions of Malawi, but we also wanted to really help. We could do that by funding an organisation, but we would need money for that. We started thinking, until one of us said; 'Why don't we write a book?' We are all good writers (or at least we think we are) and we did our best to create something special.
